Peter has been involved with cinema since he started university in 1997 where he joined Flix, the student run cinema at Loughborough University. Starting as an assistant projectionist he went on to become head projectionist, training all new projectionists until present day. It was while at university he started his website Mad Cornish Projectionist which is an industry recognised information site.
Since 2000 Peter has been a freelance projectionist and AV technician working at a variety of locations across London including BAFTA and the BFI. Peter is the chairman of the Projected Picture Trust, a charity dedicated to the preservation of old cinema projectors and equipment, vice chairman of the BKSTS Cinema Technology Committee where he looks after the projection (film and digital) certification course and is involved with the training activities. In 2009 Peter setup the website We Can Still Show Film which aims to provide information on both the projectionists and the venues who are still able to show film.
